Get coverage for critical illness or to grow your wealth

Blue’s newly launched “WeCare 109% Refundable Critical Illness Protector”, aims to protect customers from unexpected illnesses and ease their financial worries over medical expenses; or contribute to their portfolio’s growth if no claim of covered critical illness has been made during the policy period. Key features of the new Plan include:

  • 109% premium refund: Guarantees 109% refund of the total premiums paid upon policy maturity if no claim is made for the covered critical illnesses during the benefit period.

  • Coverage against 38 critical illnesses: Receive a critical illness benefit equivalent to 100% of the sum assured upon the diagnosis of any of the covered 38 common critical illnesses.

  • Extra coverage against 4 special illnesses: Receive a special benefit equivalent to 20% of the sum assured upon diagnosis of any of the 4 covered special illnesses.

  • Unemployment premium deferment: Customers can apply for an extended grace period of up to 1 year to defer payment of the premium should they become unemployed after the policy has been issued for 1 year.

Mr. Charles Hung, CEO and Executive Director of Blue said, “During the festive season, people receive a number of gifts that often remain untouched, and that sparked an idea. Seeing that the same situation could possibly arise for customers who have unclaimed critical illness protection upon policy maturity, our newly-launched refundable critical illness product can provide customers with essential coverage for critical illnesses, or helping them grow their wealth with the refundable premium.”

Mr. Hung added, “We are also extremely excited to have had our pop-up Christmas Refund event today, not only did we get to enjoy this time of joy with the public, but we were also given the perfect opportunity to further introduce the concept of refundable insurance protection. Moreover, to celebrate the product launch, customers can enjoy HK$1,000 worth of medical check-up vouchers upon successful application of the Plan with designated premium from now until 28 February 2022.”
