Define and delivery of the annual audit plan including the continuous monitoring of business risks to adjust the audit plan as necessary.
Design and execute risk-based risk and compliance testing programs to assess adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls and compliance frameworks across business functions, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Management of audit findings, track the progress and validate corrective actions are implemented.
Prepare and present periodic reports to the Board Audit Committee, summarizing key audit findings, risk exposures, compliance issues, and the status of remediation efforts.
Ensure timely escalation of critical matters and contribute to strategic discussions on governance and risk oversight to both management and Audit Committee.
Collaborate with senior management and business function leaders to promote a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement. Provide insights and guidance on emerging risks and regulatory developments.
Work closely with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure alignment of audit activities with enterprise risk priorities. Foster a collaborative approach to strengthen governance, enhance risk awareness, and support the development of a robust control environment.
Act as one of the key contact points for external auditors and regulators during inspections and reviews, ensuring smooth coordination and timely provision of required documentation.
To succeed in this job
University degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines; CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Proven audit experience of 8-10 years in financial institution (internal or external, banks or consulting firms), with at least 5 years within the life insurance sector.
Sound knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
Sound independent judgement.
Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
Able to work independently and as a team player.
