HONG KONG, 8 May 2019 – Blue, the first digital life insurer in Hong Kong, today announced the launch of the campaign “Love Mom, Love Your Child” in celebration of Mother’s Day. Customers who apply for WeCare Critical Illness Protection Plan 1 (the “Plan”) from 7 May 2019 to 28 May 2019 can enjoy a 20% discount on their first premium payment. The offer is limited and provided on a first-come-first-served basis. The Plan is designed with three unique features:
Critical illness protection for children
Blue understands the importance of family and has included in the Plan critical illness protection for the policyholder’s children. Children of the insured are automatically entitled to 50% of the sum assured or a maximum of HK$300,000. A “child” is defined as one that is the biological or step or adopted child and has a lawful parent-child relationship with the insured, and is below the age of 18. The benefit of the insured or other children will not be affected if claims occur. There is no maximum limit on the number of insured children.
2. Simple protection product covering three leading diseases
The product covers three major critical illnesses – cancer, stroke and heart attack – which constitute three of the top four biggest killers in Hong Kong and contribute to over 50% of all registered deaths . Customers can enjoy better value for higher protection through coverage of the three major critical illnesse
3. Free DNA testing
The Plan includes free DNA testing that provides insights on nutrient needs, food and dietary sensitiveness, and cardiovascular medication, allowing customers to understand their genetic information and take proactive steps to stay healthy. The offer is available with the purchase of the Plan with a monthly premium of at least HK$100, or an annual premium of HK$1,200.
Mother’s Day campaign – “Love Mom, Love Your Child” Running in tandem with the promotional discount is a Mother’s Day campaign featuring educational videos around knowledge of insurance, presented by Blue’s child ambassador. The campaign will include a variety of content published across various media in Hong Kong as well as on Blue’s social media platforms. The campaign aims to educate the public about insurance in an engaging way and celebrates all mothers who love and care for their families.
The videos will premiere on Blue’s YouTube channel on 8 May 2019 and 10 May 2019 respectively.
